Seasonal visits

The League of Friends sends warmest thanks to all Sevenoaks Hospital staff for their invaluable help during this extremely difficult time. To show our appreciation we gave all 186 workers a gift voucher for Christmas 2020. Patients who had to stay on Christmas Day all received gifts as well.

Cr Nicholas Busvine OBE Town Mayor and Ian Philip League Chairman arrived on Christmas morning to present gifts - donated by the Friends - to patients who were not well enough to go home over the festive period.  The visit also included meeting nurses and was organised by matron Kiran Dhillon. Visitors included Cr John Edwards-Winser, District Council chairman, his deputy Cr Diana Esler and Dr Philip Razzell.  Everyone was thanked for their hard work and of course  refreshments were served!

Earlier in December 2019 Friends volunteers were thanked for their hard work at a gathering at the hospital. It gave them a chance to meet each other as well as committee members and hospital staff.

The Friends were also represented at the Commonwealth Day flag raising ceremony on March 9  organised by Sevenoaks Town Council which now has some copies of our new leaflet. See PDF
